Trouble playing? Watch on YouTube

The video above is a quick walkthrough: setting up Facebook ads for roofers, the roof inspection ad page, storm damage and repair ad creatives, ready-made lead ad templates, and how ad credits and ad spend work.

This page is a companion guide that expands on that walkthrough. When a campaign fails, the ads usually are not the real problem. The problem is everything around the ad: a generic offer, a link to a homepage that talks about everything, and follow-up that happens hours later, if it happens at all.

Below you will find the fuller framework, a campaign economics calculator, and a draft builder. Those are supplemental tools that run on your own numbers and assumptions — they go beyond what the short video shows. No email required.

The short answer

Facebook ads work for roofers by showing one clear roofing offer to homeowners in your area before they ever search Google. The ad's only job is to get the right person to raise their hand. A matching page about the same service turns that click into an inquiry, and fast, consented follow-up turns the inquiry into a booked inspection. When any one of those three pieces is missing, you pay for clicks and get nothing.

What happens after someone clicks

Homeowner interest becomes an inquiry, the inquiry gets a relevant follow-up, an available time gets offered, and you get notified. When something can not be handled automatically, a human takes over — that is the point of the system, not a secret.

Where the money quietly leaks away

One generic ad for every job

An ad that says roofing services, free quotes, call today speaks to no one. A homeowner with a leak wants to hear about leaks. A property manager with a flat roof wants flat roofing. Generic ads get cheap clicks from people who were never going to book.

Sending clicks to your homepage

Your homepage talks about everything you do. Someone who clicked a leak repair ad now has to hunt for leak repair. Most will not. The ad and the page it opens must be about the same service, in the same words.

Forms that qualify nobody

A form that only asks for a name and phone number fills your list with renters, out-of-area requests, and people who wanted a small patch on a roof that needs replacing. Two or three extra questions about the property and the problem filter most of that out.

Follow-up measured in hours

A homeowner who just asked three companies for help books with the first one that responds with a real answer. If your leads sit in an email inbox until evening, your ad spend is feeding your competitor's schedule.

Reporting that stops at cheap leads

You got 40 leads for $12 each sounds great until you ask how many turned into inspections and jobs. If your report ends at the form fill, you cannot tell a good campaign from an expensive one.

The 5 parts of a system that books inspections

1

One roofing problem

Pick a single job type per campaign: leak repair, replacement, metal, commercial flat, or storm inspection. Build everything around it.

Why it matters: Specific ads attract people with that specific problem, and those are the people who book.

2

A clear, honest offer

Say exactly what the homeowner gets: a free inspection, a written estimate, whatever you truly offer. If it is not free, do not say free.

Why it matters: An honest offer pulls in people who want that thing, and nobody feels tricked when you follow up.

3

A matching destination

The link opens a page about the same service in the same area, with the same offer repeated at the top.

Why it matters: The click was for leak repair. If the page is about leak repair, the visitor keeps going. If it is about everything, they leave.

4

Qualified, consented follow-up

Ask about the property and the roof problem, get permission to contact them, then follow up fast with something relevant to what they said.

Why it matters: You spend your time on real homeowners with real jobs, and they actually remember asking you.

5

A real appointment, tracked to the outcome

Judge every campaign on booked inspections and closed jobs, not form fills. Track which campaign each appointment came from.

Why it matters: That is the only way to know if your ad money is paying you back.

A companion example to the video

Watch one campaign work end to end: leak repair

  1. 1

    The ad

A homeowner in your area scrolls Facebook and sees: Dealing with a roof leak in Norristown? Peak Roofing will look at it. The inspection is free. One service, one place, one honest offer.

  2. 2

    The matching page

The click opens a page titled Leak repair for Norristown homes, not a homepage. The same offer is at the top, so the homeowner knows they are in the right place.

  3. 3

    The qualifying questions

The form asks what is happening with the roof, what kind of property it is, and how soon they want someone out. A renter with a ceiling stain and a homeowner with an active leak are not the same lead.

  4. 4

    The follow-up

Within minutes, not days, the homeowner gets a message that references their leak and offers real times: Does Thursday at 10 work? They said yes to a specific thing, so the reply feels like service, not spam.

  5. 5

    The appointment

The inspection lands on a calendar with a confirmed time. The roofer sees the name, address, and roof problem before they ever pick up the phone.

  6. 6

    The tracking

That appointment is tied back to the leak repair campaign. Next month you know exactly what that campaign produced: inspections and jobs, not just clicks.

Cold traffic

Cold traffic means people who have never heard of you. They are scrolling, not searching, so the ad has to name a problem they already have. What a click costs and how many people book depends on your market and your campaign — cold audiences usually need the full system before they book: offer, matching page, fast follow-up.

Retargeting

Retargeting means showing ads again to people who already visited your page or started a form. They know you, so the ad can be shorter and more direct. These audiences are small but usually book at a higher rate.

First-touch tracking

First-touch attribution means crediting the marketing that first brought the person to you. If a Facebook ad introduced them and a Google search later found your name, the ad still started the relationship. Without first-touch tracking, the last click gets all the credit and you cut the wrong campaigns.

total marketing cost ÷ gross profit per job
The math, step by step

Raw leads = ad spend ÷ cost per raw lead

Qualified = raw leads × qualification %

Booked = qualified × booking % · Attended = booked × show-up % · Jobs = attended × close %

Revenue = jobs × average job revenue · Gross profit = revenue × gross margin %

Total marketing cost = ad spend + other fees · Contribution = gross profit − total marketing cost

Worked example with the starting numbers: $1,500 spend at $75 per raw lead is 20 raw leads. 60% qualify (12), half of those book (6), 80% of booked appointments happen (4.8), and a quarter of attended appointments close (1.2 jobs). At $12,000 per job that is $14,400 in revenue and $4,320 in gross profit. Subtract $1,800 of total marketing cost and the contribution is $2,520 — before overhead and tax. Decimal counts are averages across months, not a promise of exact jobs.

Questions roofers ask before they check

I already have a website and a CRM. Do I have to replace them?

No. Keep the software that runs your jobs. We add the marketing that brings the next ones in, and leads can be pushed into JobNimbus, AccuLynx, Roofr, Jobber, ServiceTitan, HighLevel, or Zapier. We confirm your exact connection during setup.

What is the difference between the ad budget and your fee?

Ad spend is paid by you, inside your own ad account, and you set the cap. Any service fee from us is separate and listed on the offer page. We never hold your ad money.

Who gets the leads in my territory?

In an assigned territory, calls and form leads from that territory site go to one roofing partner, not a list of five companies bidding against each other.

How do I know if my area is even available?

Use the territory check on this page. Tell us the cities or ZIP codes you work and we confirm what is open. Checking is free and does not reserve anything.

What does the AI appointment setting actually do?

For eligible inquiries, it qualifies the lead, respects their consent, and offers times based on real calendar availability. A human can take over any conversation, and it never texts anyone who opted out.

Will this work in my market?

It depends on your market, your budget, and your follow-through. The calculator on this page lets you run your own numbers honestly before you spend anything. Nobody can promise you a set number of jobs.

Is your territory still open?

One roofing partner per assigned territory. If your area is open, you can see exactly what working with us looks like. If it is not, we tell you.

1

Check your territory

Tell us the cities or ZIP codes you work. The check is free and takes about a minute.

2

We confirm what is open

We look at your area and tell you honestly whether a territory is available. Checking does not reserve anything.

3

You decide

If it fits, we walk you through the offer on a real call. If it does not, you keep the lesson and the tools.
